Code of Conduct
The goal of the Ottawa Research Conference is to provide a platform to bring together researchers across diverse fields and share ideas, experiences, expertise, and provide an opportunity to network. At our annual conference, we aim to build an environment that promotes intellectual growth, collaboration, inclusivity, and mutual respect.
We value and respect diverse perspectives and believe that it will provide depth and richness in our discussions. We encourage participation from individuals from all academic fields, education levels, age, political or religious beliefs, gender identity, sexual orientation, and mental/physical ability. We aim to create a safe space where all participants feel welcome to engage in intellectual discussions and knowledge sharing.
As such,
- Participants are expected to conduct in a professional manner throughout the conference.
- We encourage participants to use inclusive language, be open and receptive to differing viewpoint, and ensure that these differing viewpoints are voiced in a respectful and cordial manner.
- Upholding academic integrity at the highest level is our priority. All submitted work must be participant’s original work. Plagiarism of any kind is not acceptable.
- We are committed to making the conference accessible for everyone. If you require any special accommodation, please contact the organizing committee in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
- Participants and organizers are expected to adhere to the rules and regulations of the venue. Damage, vandalism of any kind, or misuse of the property is not permitted.
Agreement to participate in the conference will be regarded as agreement to abide by our policy on the code of conduct.
